...a crazy day and a half on an airplane coming home from Japan. Silly boy.
on Marriage:
'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
...lots more to come... [when i can sift through 2,000 pictures... from the wedding, BACHELOR party!!!, Beach, Multnomah Falls, the Stange Manor... so much vacation...so little blog time!!!]
FUN with NATE!!! I want to see all the photos and then I can say I, also went to Oregon this summer. :O) I so wish I could have been there in person. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
He is just the prettiest little boy that I have ever seen! His hair alone melts my heart, when his curls bounce as he moves, it makes me want to put him in my pocket and take him home. I know that would get me in a lot of trouble and I would need a big pocket...
I wish that I could sift through all of your pictures with you...seriously, I really do want to see all of them.
“You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences.” ~Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley
