Hardley Anything

Talking to my Grandfather this evening and asking about his day...he asked about mine.

We talked about something he needed,
"what about tomorrow?" he asked.

...I told him
"No problem tomorrow.
I have hardly anything to take care of tomorrow."

"What is hardly anything?" he asked.

I checked my calendar....

"Well..."

To Do TOMORROW:

Sister Johnson is coming to visit teach
I am painting the bathroom
Deliver the gifts to the Christmas Box House
Pick up Sub for Santa lists
Pay for the boys Ski and Snowboard camps
Sam has Auditions for the school play after school
...then he runs to the Christmas Program practice
[he is playing his trumpet
at the Rest Home Wednesday evening]

Gavin and Sam to Basketball practice
Clarissa to Parent ELP Poetry night...

He said, "That's nothing."

I said, "Compared to today....Y E S !"

Sounds like a fun day! What's all the painting about? When you're finished, come down my way. I have some walls that need paint. :)

I think that dad would love to have a list that long everyday to do and then he would not be so lonely and sad.
Your list of things to do makes me tired...

“You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences.” ~Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley
