Tuesday: Last Day of School

Sam's shirt says KICK ME...
trust me, I was tempted!!! LOL
Sam and Jeremy
both wear a new white T-Shirt
to school the last day.
They have their friends and teachers sign it
with Sharpie Marker, more trendy to them
then the year book signing!!!
Then all summer they proudly wear
their friendship shirts....and often into the next
school year!!!

Alyssa being a 6th grade GRADUATE
was very tearful and tender
during the final school sing along
assembly. :(

so many memories,
so many tears...

Adam,
the kids PE teacher,
played guitar for the sing along.
Adam went to California two years with his band
after being their PE teacher for a few years.
He was in a motorcycle accident with no helmet.
Spent half a year in a coma.
He recovered and has returned to Wasatch
as a PE teacher, AMAZING guitar player,
writing his own music,
and an ADVOCATE for wearing HELMETS!!!
WE LOVE ADAM!

The 6th Graders get to run under the honorary
arch of their teachers rulers
as they leave the school
for the last time!
sigh...weep...tears....

Such a proud moment!

some smiles....some tears!

Wasatch Flag Pole

On the last day,
after the assembly
the entire school meets
at the flagpole
to sing the School Song.
It's a school of kids.
It's a school of fun.
It's a place of learning for everyone.
In the mountains so high.
'Neath the bright Utah sky.
It's the greatest school of all.
Wasatch, flag of blue and gold.
Wave against the sun or cold.
We'll be ever brave and bold.
You're the greatest school of all.

fond MEMORIES of Mrs. Margaret Lane

This year in honor of Mrs. Lane,
Sams 4th grade teacher who passed away
during the school year last year,
the school added garden stones to Margaret's Lane.

Alyssa and I were talking about her sadness of leaving Wasatch, friends and your home. I felt like crying all the way after dropping her off at Jens work. Now I am crying for her!
LOVE YOU ALYSSA & CONGRATULATIONS!!!

“You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences.” ~Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley
