About the time that Gavin should have been arriving home

he was TACKLED by some of the

Gavin has PROVED himself as

a WORTHY East High Team Player!!!

I think he looks AWESOME!!!

[...although at church today

our Bishopric thanked the

Priesthood for REVERENTLY

passing the Sacrament

despite GAVINS IRREVERENT haircut!]

I LOVE OUR WARD

Gospel with a sense of HUMOR!!!

Recieved the following email today:

Parents of EAST FOOTBALL team,
Good morning, all. Yesterday was a blast at the Ute Shoot 7-on-7 and Big Man Challenge. Our Varsity took 2nd, our Big Men tied for 3rd,
and JV won their entire bracket
and brought home the trophy!
All our boys really put their hearts into it
and played excellently.
We are very proud of them,
and of the great effort they put forth.
And so very thankful for our great team of fabulous coaches
-- thank you all for your expertise and guidance
(football and otherwise) of our boys.
Loud applause and high-5's all around.
So, today is Camp Day.
Those of you who are going need to be
in the parking lot behind school at 4pm this afternoon,
with all of your stuff...

The
WITH ALL YOUR STUFF
gets extra attention!!!!

WHY????
Because we are talking TEENAGER here.
Gavin packed,
his Dad and Uncle Mel
gave him a priesthood blessing
and we were on our way
to drop him off for this
week's football camp....

ONCE
TWICE
THREE TIMES
AROUND THE BLOCK FOR GAVIN!!!!!
side note:
When Gavin was little and he couldn't fall asleep
we would take him for a ride.
After a few times around the block
he would be sound out.
We would check,
once, or twice,...whatever it took,
trips around the block
for Gavin.
He had to have been only a few years old.
We pulled into the driveway,
Brian looked at me,
Both of us wondering
if Gavin was asleep!!!
He wasn't.
He said,
"Maybe you should go
ONCE MORE
AROUND THE BLOCK FOR GAVIN!!!!"
Such a cute boy!

So today....

We drove him to East High,
with all his gear....
ALL HIS GEAR?????
maybe not.

Watching him walk away...

where did the years go?

HUGS all around.
And we drive away....
We get home
and Clarissa RUNS out of the house
with a TOWEL...
Gavin forgot this....he needs you to run it to him
SO TWICE AROUND THE BLOCK FOR GAVIN!!!
We get home,
and Clarissa runs out,
Gavin called,
He forgot his BELT and GLOVES!!!
SO ....THRICE around the BLOCK for GAVIN!!!!

oopsie....I didn't take my phone....a few missed calls.

Talking SHAVED HEADS
with the guys!

COOL SHADES???
"ummmm, I may have forgotten something...."

THATS MY KID????
heading back with the belt, gloves,
and a SECOND set of SHADES!!!!
One last hug....We LOVE you Gav!!!

come home SAFE!

“You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences.” ~Pres. Gordon B.
